HOME OF THE CLEVELAND INDIANS
Cleveland’s baseball fans have a long-standing tradition of supporting their beloved Indians. Fans can trace the official Indians name to 1915, with several previous iterations including Cleveland Lake Shores, Cleveland Blues, Cleveland Naps and a few others.
Progressive Field welcomed President Bill Clinton in 1994 to throw out the first ceremonial pitch as Cleveland’s new ballpark first opened its gates. In conjunction with Quicken Loans Arena the two downtown Cleveland sports complexes make up the Gateway Sports & Entertainment complex. Today, the Cleveland Indians are a legitimate contender in the American League Central pennant race.
The Westin Cleveland Downtown Hotel is your ideal home base when selecting hotels near Progressive Field.
